Miss Smith's Class
My goal is to build a sense of community and respect within our classroom where each child feels valued and safe. I strive to meet the individual needs of all students so that each child reaches his/her potential. Finally, I hope to make school as fun as possible to instill a love of learning within my students.
This is my 23rd year of teaching at Pacific Rim! I grew up in Escondido in a family of educators. I got my teaching credential at the University of Southern California and am a huge Trojan football fan! I also completed my Master's Degree in Language Arts and Literacy at SDSU in 2003. When I'm not in my classroom, my hobbies include running, going to the beach, reading and watching sports. This year I will be the district facilitator for 5th grade and the grade level leader for the 5th grade team at Pac Rim.
